Daniel Dye is set to return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024, partnering with race-winning organization Kaulig Racing for a partial schedule in the second-tier series, beginning with the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.
“We’re excited to welcome Daniel [Dye] to our driver lineup at Kaulig Racing,” team president Chris Rice says. “We’ve brought a lot of young drivers into the Xfinity Series, and we’re looking forward to seeing him grow as a driver throughout the season with our team.”
A native of Deland, Florida, Dye will get behind the wheel of the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro, a fourth entry for the championship-caliber organization, on ten different occasions throughout the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign.
In addition to the season-opener at Daytona, Dye will compete in Xfinity Series events at Martinsville (April 6), Dover (April 27), Iowa (June 15), Pocono (July 13), Indianapolis (July 20), Michigan (August 17), Kansas (September 28), Las Vegas (October 19), and the season-finale at Phoenix (November 9).
The 20-year-old is preparing to enter his second year as a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he’ll compete for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in the No. 43 Chevrolet Silverado RST.
Champion Container, the anchor partner of Dye’s 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program, will also serve as the primary marketing partner of the No. 10 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, further expanding its partnership with the up-and-coming talent.
“Daniel is a driver that is easy to root for on and off the racetrack. He is an incredible ambassador of Champion Container, and we are proud to be represented by him in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing,” says Champion Container CEO, Tom Miskewitz. “Additionally, the Daniel Dye Racing (DDR) organization’s work with Race to Stop Suicide is immensely important and reaches a massive audience through its efforts. We are proud to be mental health advocates alongside DDR.”
Dye has a pair of NASCAR Xfinity Series starts to his credit, after teaming up with Alpha Prime Racing late last season to pilot the No. 44 Chevrolet at Texas and Las Vegas, earning finishes of 17th and 21st-place, respectively.
Meanwhile, Dye’s rookie campaign in the NASCAR Truck Series didn’t provide stellar results, with the driver finishing 18th in points and only scoring a single top-10 result at Talladega Superspeedway in October while driving for the now-defunct GMS Racing.
“I’ve been a fan and follower of Kaulig Racing for several years now, and to have the opportunity to race for Matt Kaulig and Chris Rice is really special,” says Dye. “I’m excited to drive the No. 10 Champion Container Chevy in the Xfinity Series and lean on my teammates that have experience in all aspects of racing. I’m especially looking forward to working with AJ Allmendinger and having him on my side as I learn as much as I can from this opportunity.”
Race to Stop Suicide (R2SS), founded by Randy and Daniel Dye, will also be featured on the No. 10 Chevrolet throughout 2024. R2SS focused on delivering essential resources to those seeking help, spreading the important message that nobody is alone, and encouraging open conversations about mental health.
Dye will join the likes of AJ Allmendinger, Shane van Gisbergen, and Josh Williams as a quartet of Kaulig Racing entries for the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.
