Congratulations are in order for Stewart-Haas Racing driver Cole Custer and his wife Kari as the couple celebrated the birth of their first child, a son named Callahan Brian Custer, during the Olympic break. Custer, 26, shared the news of the birth of his first child in a post on X on Sunday.

“Callahan Brian Custer,” Custer said in the post. “Very thankful to welcome a healthy baby boy and my wife Kari was amazing through the whole process! It’s been a great Olympic Break!”

Custer met his wife Kari through a mutual friend in 2019. The two started dating and were married in January of 2023. The couple announced they were expecting its first child back in February.

Custer, the defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion scored his first win of the 2024 season a couple of races ago at Pocono Raceway, and followed that up with a narrow defeat at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in a duel with his Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Riley Herbst.

The driver of the No. 00 Ford Mustang Dark Horse holds a solid 56-point advantage over Justin Allgaier for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Regular-Season championship. Six races remain until the start of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs, and the series returns to action in a couple of weeks for the Cabo Wabo 250 at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, August 17.

Custer announced on July 20 that he will return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025 as the driver of the No. 41 Haas Factory Team Ford Mustang Dark Horse.
