Chase Briscoe is the only driver to ever win a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. He is looking like a decent bet to continue that trend for another year as he led every lap in Stage 1 of Saturday’s Drive for the Cure 250 from the pole.
Austin Cindric, who has two road course wins this season, came home second in Stage 1.
Justin Allgaier, Alex Labbe and Jeremy Clements rounded out the top-five finishers in the Stage.
John Hunter Nemechek was sixth, while Ryan Truex and Brandon Jones were seventh and eighth.
Noah Gragson has rebounded from starting in the rear after going to a backup car, and finished the Stage in ninth.
Cole Custer ended Stage 1 in the 10th spot.
Saturday’s race has gotten off to a rough start for many. Tyler Reddick had a slew of errors on the opening lap of the race. Reddick ended the Stage in 23rd after pitting before the Stage break.
Ryan Sieg, who is also in Playoff contention went for a spin in the Stage. Sieg would wind up 25th when the green and white checkered was displayed.
