Chances are, you won’t hear much about this on many other racing outlets, but Chad Finchum deserves a huge pat on the back for his performance in Saturday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300.

The 25-year old driver kept his No. 61 MBM Motorsports car relatively clean throughout the 300-mile event, which saw numerous top contenders fall by the wayside, and scored a solid 15th-place finish.

Following the race, Finchum posted video to Twitter of he and the team celebrating their incredible finish.

This marks the Tennessee native’s best-ever finish at a non-restrictor plate (Daytona and Talladega) track and it is the second-best finish of his 68-race Xfinity Series career.

Not only did Finchum produce an incredible career-day on the track personally, but he also delivered the best-ever finish for Carl Long’s MBM Motorsports team at Texas Motor Speedway as well. Finchum’s 17th-place effort at TMS back in the fall of 2018 was the previous best for the team.

Finchum has competed in a total of 29 Xfinity Series races this season and he sits 27th in the championship standings.
