After getting an opportunity to compete part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season, Carson Kvapil is getting the nod to contest the full schedule in 2025, driving for JR Motorsports.

Kvapil, the son of 2003 NASCAR Truck Series champion Travis Kvapil, will drive the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro in all 33 Xfinity Series events next season, beginning with February’s season-opener at Daytona.

Bass Pro Shops, which has served as a long-time partner for both JR Motorsports and Carson Kvapil in the zMAX CARS Tour, will partner with the organization to sponsor the entry in 2025.

A native of Mooresville, North Carolina, Kvapil made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut earlier this season at Martinsville Speedway, where he recorded an impressive fourth-place run.

After returning to the second-tier series at Dover Motor Speedway and nearly capturing the victory, JR Motorsports was able to find additional sponsorship to expand Kvapil’s schedule, which at season’s end will include nine races.

Kvapil’s final scheduled Xfinity Series start of 2024 will come Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway. In eight starts, the 22-year-old has scored three top-five and four top-10 finishes.

With the addition of Kvapil, JR Motorsports now has an Xfinity Series roster for next season that will include two rookies, after signing Connor Zilisch to drive the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro.

The second-generation racer has spent much of his career competing in Late Models, which paid off last weekend, when Kvapil and JR Motorsports partnered to win the ValleyStar Credit Union 300, one of the most prestigious Late Model events in the country.

Carson Kvapil’s first full-time campaign will begin at Daytona International Speedway in February 2025. Additional details on sponsorship and personnel will be made at a later date.
