On Tuesday, JR Motorsports announced the extension of the team’s partnership with Carolina Carports, which will return to the organization as a primary sponsorship partner on a multiyear agreement beginning in 2025.
The Dobson, NC-based company will have a five primary sponsorship race schedule in 2025, three with Connor Zilisch, who will contest the full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series season, and the No. 88 Chevrolet, and two additional events to be announced later. For JR Motorsports bringing Carolina Carports back is a big deal for the team.
“It’s really special for us to continue this partnership with Adela and everyone at Carolina Carports,” said JR Motorsports CEO Kelley Earnhardt Miller in a team press release. “It’s significant when we have partners see the value in our team and want that relationship to continue. I can’t wait to see how this partnership expands in 2025.”
The family-owned Carolina Carports is just as excited to remain in the JR Motorsports family in 2025 and beyond.
“Carolina Carports is proud to announce our continued partnership with the JRM team in 2025,” says CCI owner and CEO, Adela Herrera.“ Our companies align in many ways, we both share the values of teamwork and looking after team members like family. We look forward to another successful racing season.”
In addition to the partnership extension, Carolina Carports will serve as the primary sponsor in Connor Zilisch’s NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Watkins Glen International on Saturday, September 14. Zilisch, 18, has four wins in four ARCA Menards Series starts this season and the prodigy captured the pole and finished fourth in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at Circuit of the Americas in March.
Carolina Carports began its relationship with JR Motorsports this season and kicked off the year as Sam Mayer’s primary sponsor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway. The company has been the primary sponsor for Mayer in two races so far this season, including Mayer’s dramatic photo-finish win at Texas Motor Speedway.
Justin Allgaier also carried the Carolina Carports colors at Pocono Raceway three races ago and recorded a runner-up finish in that event.
