Video: Flat Right Rear for Leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Triggers Seven-Car Accident at Atlanta

It’s deja-vu all over again.

Another right-rear tire failure, this time from Ricky Stenhouse Jr’s No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro has triggered a major accident in the closing laps of the race’s second stage, that has handed damage to at least seven cars. Stenhouse had led 22 laps in the event, the third-most of the 16 drivers to lead the event.

Upon Stenhouse’s trip back down the banking in turn four, the No. 47 slammed into Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric, who was tapped by Daniel Suarez, to half-spin his No. 2. Erik Jones and Kevin Harvick also got a piece of the action.

Cindric and Stenhouse would see their afternoon’s be finished, joining Kyle Busch, Cole Custer, Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon and Noah Gragson in the garage with more than 100 laps remaining.
