Video: Fan Footage Captures “The Big One” at Daytona, Clear Angle of Big Impact Between Kaz Grala and Kyle Busch

With four laps to go in last weekend’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway, Chase Elliott was attempting to keep the lead from Matt DiBenedetto through a series of aggressive blocks, when the pair make contact, sending both cars into the outside wall and triggering “The Big One”.

Late in the accident, Kyle Busch’s No. 18 Toyota Camry can be seen sliding down to the inside wall, before bouncing back into the path of Kaz Grala’s Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro, who the two cars making brutal contact at the enterance to pit road. Luckily, both drivers were able to emerge from the cars under their own power, although it was later revealed on Twitter that Grala suffered an injury to his left ankle.

 

On Friday Afternoon, Demonracer2 uploaded a video of their view of the accident to their YouTube Channel, showing a much clearer picture of the vicious impact between Grala and Busch, as well as a slow motion angle of the imapct afterwards.
