Video: Chase Elliott Crashes Hard in Final Stage, 2019 Championship Hopes Are Over

Chase Elliott had a car capable of stealing a win and sneaking his way into the Championship 4 at Homestead, despite having a horrendous Round of 8 in the 2019 NASCAR Playoffs.

Unfortunately, for Elliott, his day came to a crashing halt as he cut a tire on lap 166. The sliced tire sent Elliott around and backwards hard into the wall. His No. 9 car is done for the day and Elliott’s hopes for a Cup Series championship will have to wait another year.
