William Sawalich to Contest Nine-Race Truck Series Campaign in TRICON No. 1

William Sawalich, a 17-year-old breakout star in the ARCA Menards Series and a member of the Toyota Driver Development (T2D) program, will expand upon his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program in 2024.

A native of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Sawalich will contest a nine-race campaign in the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, a fifth entry for TRICON Garage — an increase from his six-race program with the organization in 2023.

“I am excited to be back with the No. 1 team in 2024,” said Sawalich, the 2023 ARCA Menards Series East champion. “We were super consistent this past season and I am looking forward to repeating that with my group of guys. I am confident it will be another successful year with TRICON.”

Sawalich will make his first starts of the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign at Bristol Motor Speedway (March 16) and Martinsville Speedway (April 5), behind the wheel of the TRICON Garage entry.

Then, the Joe Gibbs Racing prospect will be absent from the NASCAR Truck Series for quite some time, as he focuses on his program in the ARCA Menards Series, coming back to the series to contest seven of the season’s final nine events.

IRP (July 19), Richmond (August 10), Milwaukee (August 25), Bristol (September 19), Homestead-Miami (October 26), Martinsville (November 1), and Phoenix (November 8) will complete the nine-race campaign for Sawalich in the No. 1 Toyota Tundra.

Sawalich will have Starkey and its SoundGear line of products on board the TRICON Garage entry for his nine NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events in 2024. Starkey, a global leader in hearing technology, engineers and manufactures SoundGear products to provide digital sound enhancement that delivers superior environmental awareness while placing a premium on hearing protection.

In his six previous NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events, all for TRICON Garage, Sawalich managed to capture three finishes inside the top-10, including a ninth-place run on debut at Martinsville, and a career-high sixth-place result at IRP.
