Will Greg Biffle Run Next Two Legs of Triple Truck Challenge? Kyle Busch Isn’t Sure

It was awesome seeing Greg Biffle back in victory lane Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway. The 49-year old driver who had been out of NASCAR since 2016, stepped right back into Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 51 Toyota Tundra and won the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400. In the process he also won the $50,000 Triple Truck Challenge bonus.

The thought immediately shifted from happy to see Biffle back, to will he run the next two legs of the triple truck challenge?

Before taking to the track for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying at Michigan International Speedway, Kyle Busch addressed this and he isn’t so sure Biffle will be running in Iowa.

“There’s a lot of things that have to fall into place. I’m not quite there yet,” Busch said. “I have to start with A and go to Z. We’ll see what happens, but I’ve got some talks I’m going to have today to see what we can get going and try, you know?”

According to Busch, with the tight time frame of when trucks need to be loaded up and how many trucks he would have to have committed for the event, makes it a big question mark as to whether Biffle can run going forward.

“If we had an off week I could guarantee you I could tell you there’s a hell of a lot better chance. But with it only being — they have to leave for Iowa on Tuesday. I don’t know if I can have five trucks ready to go by then.”

Can Busch get it all figured out? We will have to wait and see.
