Video: Layne Riggs Suffers Big Crash in Practice; Going to Backup Truck

It has been an incredibly difficult season for Layne Riggs and the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports team during the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. The rough season continued in Friday afternoon’s practice session for the CRC Brakleen 175 at Pocono Raceway.

Riggs lost control of his No. 38 Infinity Communications Group Ford F-150 on the exit of Turn 1 in the early moments of the practice session. As his truck lost traction off of the corner, Riggs spun to the inside of the track, and pounded the inside wall with the rear of his truck.

The impact was severe, and it caused incredible damage to his primary truck. The Front Row Motorsports team will prepare its backup truck for Friday’s race.

Heading into this weekend’s race, Riggs leads the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rookie of the Year standings over Conner Jones and Thad Moffitt, and he sits 16th in the championship driver standings.
