Defending NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ty Majeski was the quickest driver in Tuesday’s organization test from Rockingham Speedway.

Majeski, piloting the No. 98 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, posted a blistering time around the 1.017-mile short track in Rockingham, North Carolina, clocking in at under 22 seconds.

The 21.983-second lap posted by the Seymour, Wisconsin native equates to 166.547mph, a mark that is more than 20mph faster than the NASCAR Truck Series track record at Rockingham, which was set in the series’ most recent event at the track, in 2013.

“We’re hauling ass here, I mean there’s no doubt about it,” Majeski told Racing America OnSI.

Kaden Honeycutt was second-quickest in the test session on Tuesday, albeit more than three-tenths of a second slower than Majeski. Honeycutt will run for the NASCAR Truck Series title in 2025, driving the No. 45 for Niece Motorsports.

Front Row Motorsports teammates Layne Riggs and Chandler Smith shared seat time in the No. 38 Ford F-150 on Tuesday, and ranked third and fourth-quickest overall in lap times.

Jake Garcia, who enters his second season driving the No. 13 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, found himself near the top of the speed charts in all four sessions on Tuesday, ending up fifth place overall in lap times.

Matt Mills, Corey Heim, and Rajah Caruth ended up sixth, seventh, and eighth, with Rookie of The Year contender Gio Ruggiero sitting ninth overall in his first time driving a NASCAR Truck Series vehicle. Ben Rhodes rounded out the top-10.

Tyler Ankrum — ranked 25th-place in overall speeds from testing on Tuesday — completed the most laps aboard his No. 18 Chevrolet for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.

After sessions early in the morning were deleted due to inclement weather and track drying efforts, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will be permitted to return to Rockingham on Wednesday for more on-track time.
