When the green flag is displayed for Friday’s Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series could be hitting the racetrack for the first time.
Lingering precipitation in the Bristol, Tennessee-area forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying for Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event. Should the rain stop between now and race time, NASCAR is hopeful to have practice.
The starting lineup for Friday’s 250-lap contest from the 0.533-mile concrete short track will be set by the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rule Book, which dictates the use of the performance metric.
Daniel Hemric, the winner of the most recent event in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Martinsville Speedway, will start from the pole position in the No. 19 NAPA AUTO CARE Chevrolet Silverado RST for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.

Tyler Ankrum will be starting from second place, in his No. 18 Ullico Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.
Chandler Smith will roll from third-place, with two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series winner this season, Corey Heim, in fourth, and third-year driver Jake Garcia rounding out the top-five.
Ben Rhodes, Stewart Friesen, defending NASCAR Truck Series champion Ty Majeski, defending Bristol Motor Speedway Layne Riggs, and rookie Andres Perez de Lara will round out the top-10 starters for Friday.
Other notables include: Kyle Larson (11th), Rajah Caruth (12th), Brandon Jones (13th), Gio Ruggiero (14th), Grant Enfinger (23rd), Matt Crafton (26th), Toni Breidinger (27th), and Parker Kligerman (35th).
With only 35 drivers entered in Friday’s Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, all drivers on the entry list and on the premises at the racetrack will take the green flag.
