It’s been a wet start to NASCAR’s tripleheader weekend at Martinsville Speedway, with inclement weather plaguing the half-mile paperclip throughout the morning and early afternoon on Thursday.
The subsequent track conditions and the odd band of precipitation, have forced NASCAR to completely cancel practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ahead of Thursday’s Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 200.
The starting lineup for Thursday’s 200-lap event will be set by the NASCAR Rule Book, which uses the performance metric system to set the starting lineup in the event of inclement weather.
Zane Smith – winner at Circuit of The Americas — will lead the field to the green flag, alongside Kyle Busch. Ben Rhodes, Chandler Smith, and John Hunter Nemechek will round out the top-five.
Blaine Perkins (9), Jake Garcia (35), and Justin Carroll (90) are the three drivers that will not get the opportunity to take the green flag with the field of 36 trucks. Both Garcia and Carroll were attempting to make their series debut.
