Spencer Boyd and the No. 12 Young’s Motorsports team will have a truly special paint scheme this weekend in the CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway. The Chevrolet Silverado will carry a paint scheme that honors Veterans of World War II, and it will pay tribute to the 12th Armored Division of the US Army that served in WWII.

Rich Mar Florist, based in Allentown, PA, will serve as the co-primary sponsor for the race. On the passenger side door rail of the truck will be the name PFC Artillio “Tillie” Martin. Martin, who is a relative of the Morrisey family that has owned Rich Mar Florist since 1955, was a member of the 12th Armored Division in WWII.

Unfortunately, Martin passed away on Thursday, July 6th at the age of 102. This scheme serves as a beautiful tribute to the life of Martin, and many others who fought for the United States in WWII.

In keeping with the local-Pennsylvania sponsorship theme of the No. 12 truck, Backwoods Outdoor Center will serve as the co-primary sponsor for the event. Backwoods is a Walnutport, PA dealership, which features a wide-range of ATVs, UTVs, zero-turn mowers and handheld outdoor power equipment, and much more.

For Boyd, he’s grateful to partner with two companies that are local to Pennsylvania and is proud to pay tribute to World War II veterans.

“It’s plain and simple for me. If I don’t have sponsors, I don’t go to the race track. I’m so grateful for the support these companies provide me and I ask our fans to support them in return. Our country was born on local companies and protected by our armed forces. This paint scheme screams freedom because of what it represents and I look to do them all justice this weekend at Pocono,” Boyd said in a team press release.

Boyd, 28, sits 27th in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship standings heading into this weekend’s event at the 2.5-mile triangular Pocono Raceway. Boyd has seen an improvement in his average finish this year (25.4) compared to last season (27.6). Boyd and the No. 12 Young’s Motorsports team will look to score their best finish of the 2023 campaign.
