Sheldon Creed led all 15 laps of Stage 1 in Sunday’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Pocono Organics 150 at Pocono Raceway. However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing.

In a one-lap shootout for the Stage Win, Creed had to battle a speedy Austin Hill for the Stage win. Hill led about 80% of the final lap of the Stage, but in the end, Creed pulled ahead off of turn three and went on for his first Stage Win of 2020.

Hill was second, Tyler Ankrum was third, while Brandon Jones and Todd Gilliland rounded out the top-five.

Grant Enfinger, Johnny Sauter, Zane Smith, Ross Chastain and Ben Rhodes made up positions sixth thru 10th.

The opening Stage was mired by three hard crashes, which resulted in two separate red flag periods.

Matt Crafton and Codie Rohrbaugh were done for the day after a lap one crash. On lap 7, Raphael Lessard and Austin Wayne Self joined them. With five laps left, Ty Majeski was sent hard into the wall as well.
