NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series driver Natalie Decker will not take part in Saturday’s Pocono Organics 150 at Pocono Raceway, after being hospitalized on Tuesday, due to complications from gall bladder surgery.

The 23-year old was scheduled to drive for Niece Motorsports’ No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado, in what would have been her fourth race of the 2020 season. Decker, who is scheduled to run at least ten races for Niece Motorsports this season, is scheduled to return to the race track in the series’ seventh race of the season at Kentucky (July 9th).

According to NASCAR’s Roster Portal, Bayley Currey will take over driving duties of the No. 44 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Saturday at Pocono Raceway. Currey, 23, ran two races for Niece Motorsports last season at Pocono and Michigan, earning his career-best finish of sixth at Michigan.

NASCAR Gander RV Outdoor Truck racer Natalie Decker has been hospitalized since Tuesday, June 23rd with bile duct complications related to her gallbladder removal back in December.

Natalie is a member of the Niece Motorsports Racing team and was set to race Pocono in the no. 44 N29 Capital Partner’s/REMARKABLE PILLOW Silverado on June 27th, but will be unable to as medical team is still treating her.

More information will be provided on Natalie’s status at a later date.
