MBM Motorsports is making its return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series later this month at Pocono Raceway, the organization announced on Thursday.

The long-time NASCAR National Series operation, owned by Carl Long, will be fielding a Ford F-150 for driver Tyler Tomassi in the MillerTech Battery 200 at the 2.5-mile speedway in Pocono, Pennsylvania.

“I am very excited to tackle the Tricky Triangle with MBM in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,” said Tomassi. “Pocono has always been a special place to me. I have many memories of going there as a kid and dreaming of one day racing at this track. All the thanks in the world to Carl Long and his team for giving me this dream-fufilling opportunity to race at Pocono.”

The 22-year-old driver has picked up considerable experience in Late Models before arriving on the NASCAR scene last season. The June 20 event at Pocono Raceway will mark his sixth start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and his fourth of the season.

“Behind the wheel, we have seen Tyler’s development in his Truck Series starts this season, and MBM is well-positioned to help him continue his progression in the cockpit,” said team owner Carl Long.

Tomassi will be the first pilot of the new MBM Motorsports entry in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, before Derek White hops behind the wheel for additional unannounced races in the near future.

“This chassis is a truck we are preparing for Derek White. Tyler [Tomassi] will get to pilot it first, as we get Derek’s NASCAR approval process moving along,” Long added.

White has previously competed at Daytona, Talladega, and other larger ovals in NASCAR, but with his last start before this year coming in 2016, the driver must regain his clearance to run on tracks larger than 1.5 miles.

The 54-year-old Canadian returned to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the first time in quite some time this season at North Wilkesboro, driving the No. 2 Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing.

Additional details, including the entry’s number and sponsorship, will be announced at a later date. The MillerTech Battery 200 at Pocono Raceway will take place on Friday, June 20 at 5:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 1.
