For the first time in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career, Layne Riggs will lead the field to green, winning the pole for Friday’s MillerTech Battery 200 at Pocono Raceway.

Riggs, driving the No. 34 Bare Knuckle Boxing Ford F-150 for Front Row Motorsports, posted the quickest time in Friday’s qualifying session at the 2.5-mile triangle-shaped oval in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.

Clocking in with a time of 53.216 seconds (which equates to an average speed of 169.409mph), Riggs beat a fellow short tracker in Kaden Honeycutt for the top spot for Friday’s 200-mile contest and the 14th event of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign.

“This is the last place I thought I’d ever get the pole at, especially my first career pole,” said Layne Riggs. “Last year, I wrecked on Lap 2 of practice, and got two laps of practice and rode around last all day with the backup truck. To come out here and have an awesome piece, I feel like I even gave a little away on the last lap, I was apologizing to the guys, saying I didn’t get off of Turn 1 as good as I needed to.”

STARTING LINEUP: 2025 MillerTech Battery 200 at Pocono

It’s the fourth NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pole position for Front Row Motorsports and the first for the multi-truck organization since Martinsville in the Spring of 2023.

Kaden Honeycutt will start from the outside of the front row in the No. 45 for Niece Motorsports, with NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points leader Corey Heim sitting in third place. Carson Hocevar, in his final of four scheduled Truck Series starts for Spire Motorsports, was fourth, with Tanner Gray rounding out the top five.

Gio Ruggiero, Andres Perez De Lara, Rajah Caruth, Brandon Jones, and Patrick Emerling completed the top 10.

Other notables include Jake Garcia (P11), Stewart Friesen (P13), Grant Enfinger (P14), Chandler Smith (P15), Ty Majeski (P16), Tyler Ankrum (P18), Daniel Hemric (P19), and Jack Wood (P24).

Dawson Sutton, driving the No. 26 Rackley Roofing Chevrolet for Rackley WAR, had issues in practice, getting into the outside wall, forcing the team to try and repair the vehicle prior to the start of Friday’s event.

The MillerTech Battery 200 will take place on Friday, June 20 at 5:00 PM ET on FS1, NASCAR Radio Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
