Kyle Strickler will get the opportunity to return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in this weekend’s Corn Belt 150 at Knoxville Raceway, piloting the No. 20 Crowe Equipment Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, replacing the team’s mainstay driver, Spencer Boyd, for the second – and final — dirt track race of the season.

Boyd further confirmed the news on Twitter on Thursday Evening, saying: “Young’s Motorsports and Spencer Boyd are in it for the long haul. That is why we have collectively made the decision to bring in a dirt ringer for the Knoxville race. Kyle Strickler will wheel the No. 20 Crowe Equipment Chevrolet Silverado.”

“I’m very excited for the opportunity to drive for Young’s Motorsports,” said Strickler. “Tyler (Young) and I are good friends and have been wanting to put a deal together like this for a long time.”

Strickler, nicknamed “The High Side Tickler”, has made a pair of starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to date, running each of the last two events at Eldora Speedway. In 2019, the accomplished dirt racer earned a career-best 18th-place finish for DGR-Crosley Racing, after earning a top-five starting position.

“I can’t thank everyone involved enough for putting this deal together especially Scott Crowe with Crowe equipment Tyler Young, Spencer Boyd and everyone at Young’s Motorsports. Also, I want to thank my longtime supporters G Style Transport, Donaldson Grading and Jerovetz Motorsports for helping out on this opportunity as well.”

After 13 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races this season, Boyd has recorded a single top-20 finish in the season-opener at Daytona. After failing to qualify for events at Circuit of The Americas and Nashville, the Young’s Motorsports No. 20 enters Knoxville sitting 37th in 2021 NCWTS Owner Points.
