2014 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kevin Harvick will add some additional races to his schedule this season, with plans to run three NASCAR Xfinity Series races and one race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The Bakersfield, California-native will pilot a second Xfinity Series entry for Stewart-Haas Racing at Circuit of The Americas (May 22), Road America (July 3) and Indianapolis’ Road Course (August 14) in order to get additional experience on the new venues that the NASCAR Cup Series will visit in 2021.

No car number or primary sponsorship has been announced, with those details expected to come at a later date.

The 45-year-old will also make his first start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since August 2015, piloting the No. 17 Hunt Brothers Pizza Ford F-150 for David Gilliland Racing in The Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 27th.

“I tell all of the drivers we represent at KHI Management that nothing beats seat time, and that goes for me as well,” Harvick said. “I can learn and have some fun, all at the same time. Road-course racing and dirt-track racing is a challenge, and I’m always up for a challenge.”
