When the buzz about the Kyle Busch Truck Series Bounty from Kevin Harvick and Marcus Lemonis started really intensifying, Niece Motorsports fired out a Tweet on February 27th, that caused many to believe a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver would be filling the No. 44 truck at Atlanta.

Well, on Wednesday, the team revealed that it will be 27-year old Jeb Burton — not a Cup Series driver — behind the wheel at Atlanta. I addition to the start next weekend at AMS, Burton will also run for the team at Michigan in August.

Burton’s efforts in the Truck will be sponsored by State Water Heaters and ALSCO.

“I’m excited to race with the folks at Niece Motorsports again this year,” said Burton.  “I can’t thank State Water Heaters and ALSCO enough for their support.  I’m looking forward to getting back into one of these trucks and having a solid performance.”

Burton scored top-10 finishes in both of his NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Series starts for Niece Motorsports a season ago, and he has also been doing a great job driving on a part-time basis for JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The Virginia native has one-career Truck Series victory, which came at Texas Motor Speedway in 2013.
