Jake Garcia, considered one of the underdogs of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs, will start on the pole for Thursday’s UNOH 250 Presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Garcia, driver of the No. 13 Quanta Services Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, captured his third career pole in the NASCAR Truck Series, posting a fast time of 15.249 seconds (125.831mph).

The Monroe, Georgia-native currently sits eighth in the NASCAR Truck Series point standings, with a two-point advantage of the cutline, which is currently held by Chandler Smith as the field enters the second race of the postseason.

“Definitely a good time to get a third pole of the year,” Garcia told FOX Sports 1 after qualifying. “Really proud of our guys, we started practice really far off, and we made a lot of adjustments, made a bunch of runs and got it better and better and even got on the other side of it, a little bit.”

Corey Heim, an eight-time winner on the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series campaign, will roll from second-place in his Yahoo! branded Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. In third, starting on the second row, will be Tyler Ankrum. Kaden Honeycutt and Corey Day will round out the top five.

Ty Majeski, Layne Riggs, Chandler Smith, Grant Enfinger, and Rajah Caruth will start inside the top-10, with Daniel Hemric, the only post-season eligible driver to not start in the top-10, rolling from 11th.

Cole Butcher, making his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in the No. 62 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Halmar Friesen Racing, put down a solid qualifying effort on Thursday, and will roll from 21st in his series debut.

Treyten Lapcevich, another Canadian-born driver, will make his series debut as well on Thursday night at Bristol, driving the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports. The 2023 NASCAR Canada Series champion will roll from 28th.

With 37 drivers entered for Thursday’s event at Bristol Motor Speedway, one driver was forced to pack up and head back home early. Clay Greenfield, being the lowest-ranked team in owner points, failed to post a lap fast enough to make the race.

The UNOH 250 will take place on Thursday, September 11 at 7:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1, Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
