On Thursday Morning, GMS Racing announced that Jack Wood – initially intended to compete full-time in the ARCA Menards Series for the team — would compete in the remaining NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events for the organization, piloting the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado, beginning at Nashville Superspeedway.

After Raphael Lessard was forced to depart from the entry mid-season, due to a lack of funding, multiple drivers have taken over the driving duties of the No. 24, with Ryan Reed driving the truck at Darlington, before Jack Wood made his first two starts in the series at COTA and Charlotte. 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Chase Elliott, is set to pilot the No. 24 A-Shoc Chevrolet Silverado at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.

In two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts this season, Wood has a best finish of 15th at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Entering Texas, GMS Racing’s No. 24 entry currently sits 16th in Owner Points, 87 points behind Stewart Friesen (Halmar Friesen Racing) who holds the cutline for the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Owner Playoffs.
