Jack Hawksworth, a standout for Vasser Sullivan Lexus and the reigning champion of the IMSA GTD Pro Class, will make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut later on this month at Circuit of The Americas, driving for TRICON Garage.

The 33-year-old racer will get behind the wheel of the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in the event, the fifth full-time entry for the Toyota-backed NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series operation.

Mobil 1, a partner of Toyota Racing Development (TRD) USA, will serve as the primary marketing partner for Hawksworth for the XPEL 225, as he looks to leave a lasting impression in his first NASCAR Truck Series start.

A native of Bradford, United Kingdom, Hawksworth has tallied 11 victories, 10 pole positions, and 25 podiums while capturing championships in both the IMSA GTD Sprint Cup and GTD PRO categories. The Lexus Racing factory driver has also secured major wins in the RC F GT3, including Lexus and Vasser Sullivan’s first win in the GTD PRO category at Road America and the first endurance victory at the 2022 Petit Le Mans.

“I’m super stoked to be joining TRICON Garage and piloting the No. 1 Mobil 1 Toyota Tundra at COTA,” said Hawksworth. “The truck looks awesome. I’m looking forward to stepping back into the NASCAR world, working with the team leading up to the race weekend, and then going out there and getting after it. COTA is a fun, technical track and one that should be challenging to tame a stock car at. A big thank you to everyone at TRD, Lexus, Mobil 1, and TRICON for making this possible. I can’t wait to get started.”

In addition to an incredible resume in sports car competition, Hawksworth has also competed in the NTT IndyCar Series, running three full seasons and scoring a podium at the 2014 Grand Prix of Houston.

Hawksworth has also made a foray into the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing at Mid Ohio in 2019, where he qualified on the outside front row, earned a stage victory, and finished in 15th place.

The long-time racer joins Toni Breidinger, Colby Howard, Christopher Bell, and William Sawalich as the drivers announced to pilot TRICON Garage’s rotisserie entry throughout the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign.

The XPEL 225 will take place on Saturday, March 23rd at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. Coverage for the event will be on FOX Sports 1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
