UPDATE: Things have gotten EVEN MORE interesting, as Marcus Lemonis has now agreed to match Kevin Harvick’s $50,000 “Bounty”, leaving the reward for beating Kyle Busch at $100,000

Denny Hamlin has expressed some interest in this challenge, Tweeting this:

Could Denny Hamlin potentialy hop in a Toyota Tundra and try to race Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch? His options would more than likely be limited to driving a Toyota, which leaves him down to about four potential teams, including Kyle Busch Motorsports, Hattori Racing Enterprises, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing & Halmar Friesen Racing.

Things got interesting on social media early Saturday Afternoon, when Kevin Harvick tweeted that he would post a $50,000 “bounty” for any full-time NASCAR Cup Series Driver who could beat Kyle Busch over the course of his next four scheduled NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races.

Kyle Busch, Timmy Hill, John Hunter Nemechek & Brennan Poole are the only four full-time NASCAR Cup Series drivers to participate in a NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series in 2020 so far. Only Brennan Poole has announced intentions to run any of the NGROTS Races that Kyle Busch has scheduled for the remainder of 2020.

Poole will be driving the No. 30 On Point Motorsports Toyota Tundra in all four of Busch’s remaining starts in 2020. Poole almost defeated Kyle Busch in 2019 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, finishing runner up to Kyle Busch driving the No. 30 MadVapes Toyota Tundra for On Point Motorsports.

Whether or not the challenge will be accepted by any full-time Cup Series guys is yet to be seen, but it may be logistically difficult to put together a deal in such a short period of time, due to sponsorship concerns, but nonetheless it adds an interesting storyline to watch, when we get the NGORTS Entry Lists at the beginning of the week.

Kyle Busch is scheduled to run four more races in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2020 at Atlanta, Homestead, Texas & Kansas.

  1. Does it have to be a Cup driver KH??? I got this… I can do it if Harvick provides me a truck. I’ll go toe to toe with KB… no problem.
