Dexter Bean will pilot the No. 21 BlackJack Racing Chevrolet Silverado as he attempts to make the field for the August 27th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Clean Harbors 175 at The Milwaukee Mile.

A representative for the BlackJack Racing team confirmed its return to TobyChristie.com.

The No. 21 truck will have Mario Gosselin — team owner for the NASCAR Xfinity Series DGM Racing team — as the crew chief at Milwaukee. As of now, the team will carry sponsorship from Badger Environmental & Earthworks, Frontier Property Management, and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 139.

The team states that the deal came together very quickly over the last month, and that they are still putting together all of the details. A paint scheme will be available after approval from IUOE and NASCAR.

BlackJack Racing was founded when David Bean, the father of Dexter Bean, won a considerable amount of money on a hand of blackjack. David Bean had always wanted to start a race team, and he fulfilled that dream with the earnings from the blackjack hand.

David Bean would go on to win the Rookie of the Year title at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway. After its humble beginnings, BlackJack Racing competed in multiple divisions across the stock car racing landscape, including a stop in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2009.

Dexter Bean has three-career starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, all of which came for Mario Gosselin’s race team. Bean’s career-best finish in the series was a 17th-place effort at Milwaukee back in 2009.

Bean has also competed in 30 NASCAR Xfinity Series races since 2006, and he made one NASCAR Cup Series start for BlackJack Racing back in 2009.
