When the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series head to Kansas Speedway this weekend, Reaume Brothers Racing will probably be the busiest team throughout the garage area.
Three races, three teams, four drivers and a mid-weekend crew chief swap, will be just some of the challenges the team will have to overcome, if they are hoping to post a promising result this weekend in Kansas.
In addition to the team operating RSS Racing’s No. 93 entry with Myatt Snider in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Reaume Brothers Racing’s two-truck effort at Kansas Speedway, will consist of three different drivers, who combine for a total of sixteen NASCAR National Series starts.
Dawson Cram is a part-time driver in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series this season, who has piloted the No. 55 for Long Motorsports in two events this season. When the 18-year old isn’t behind the wheel of a truck, he is turning wrenches for JD Motorsports, where he has served as a mechanic for most of the season on the team’s No. 6 entry in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Friday at Kansas Speedway, Cram will make his third start of the season, driving the No. 00 Toyota Tundra for Reaume Brothers Racing. Andrew Abbott will continue to be on top of the pit box for Friday’s event at Kansas Speedway, before switching over the No. 33 for Saturday’s event.
In six prior NASCAR Truck Series starts, Cram has three top-twenty finishes, earning a career-best 13th-place finish at Martinsville Speedway last season, driving the No. 33 for Reaume Brothers Racing.
Kevin Donahue will return to the NASCAR Truck Series this weekend at Kansas Speedway, after being away from NASCAR competition since 2018, when he drove for Mike Mittler’s MB Motorsports, the team he earned a career-best 12th-place finish for at World Wide Technology Raceway in 2018.
The 25-year old Missouri-native will get back behind the wheel of a truck on Friday Night, when he drives the No. 33 Toyota Tundra for Reaume Brothers Racing. Donahue will follow that up with his second race of the season, where he will take over driving duties of the No. 00 from Dawson Cram.
Gregory Rayl, the crew chief for Donahue’s No. 33 team on Friday, will move over to the No. 00 team with him on Saturday, sending Andrew Abbot – the usual crew chief on the No. 00 team — over to the No. 33, working with a driver that will be making his NASCAR National Series debut on Saturday Night.
Unless you religiously follow the ARCA Menards Series, the name Ryan Huff may not totally be familiar to you.
Huff, the part-time ARCA Menards Series driver, has spent most of the 2020 season driving for Andy Hillenburg’s Fast Track Racing Group, scoring two top-ten finishes in six starts for the underfunded team.
Saturday Afternoon at Kansas Speedway, Huff will make his NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series debut, and his first excursion into NASCAR National Series competition, when he takes the green flag on Saturday, with no practice. Huff will pilot the No. 33 Toyota Tundra in the event, with veteran crew chief Andrew Abbott on the pit box, calling the shots for the 19-year-old driver.
