Danny Bohn is set to contest this weekend’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Love’s RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway. The 36-year-old driver who cut his teeth racing modifieds, will slide behind the wheel of the No. 44 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado.

Bohn will carry primary sponsorship from Rustoleum and AmeriFast Supply for the event.

“Danny has been a friend of Rust-Oleum for over 15 years now and we could not be happier for him to have the chance to race at Talladega,” said Bryan Wilson, Director of Sales for Lowe’s. “Danny and Rust-Oleum have had the opportunity to partner on various projects since his dirt track days at the East Lincoln Motor Speedway. I am excited to see what he can do this weekend.”

Last season, Bohn attempted the NASCAR Truck Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway with Niece Motorsports, but ultimately failed to make the show in that event. He’s excited to see what he can do in the equipment at Talladega Superspeedway.

“I am excited to get back behind the wheel of the No. 44 Chevy for Niece Motorsports at Talladega this week,” said Bohn. “It is extra special to have Rust-Oleum and AmeriFast Supply on board with us, who both have been long time supporters of my racing career. Last time I was there I ended up finishing eighth, so hopefully we can better that result this week.”

While he didn’t start any NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in 2023, Bohn did compete in two events in 2022. He had a best finish of eighth that season, which he achieved at Daytona International Speedway driving for Young’s Motorsports.

In all, Bohn has five top-10 finishes in 35 career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts, and his career-best finish was a seventh-place finish at Martinsville Speedway in 2020.

Bohn is currently in a battle for the championship in the SMART Modified Tour. The racer heads into the final two races of that season third in the championship standings.
