As the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series prepares to tackle the middle race in the semi-final round of the post-season at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the cream continues to rise to the top.

Corey Heim, driving the No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage, will lead the field to green in Saturday’s Baptist Health 200 at the 1.5-mile facility in Homestead, Florida.

It’s the seventh NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pole for Heim, and the first for the Marietta, Georiga native since last November’s season-finale at Phoenix Raceway.

TRICON Garage managed to sweep the front row in Friday’s qualifying session from Homestead-Miami Speedway, with 19-year-old Taylor Gray posting the second-quickest time, a new career-best for the driver of the No. 17.

Rajah Caruth and Nick Sanchez, defacto teammates under the banner of Spire Motorsports, will share the second row when Saturday’s event gets underway, starting in third and fourth. Ty Majeski rounded out the top five in time trials.

Kaden Honeycutt posted a sixth-place starting spot in the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports, while fellow non-playoff driver Daniel Dye qualified seventh.

Christian Eckes was eighth, followed by Talladega winner Grant Enfinger in ninth, and Connor Mosack rounding out the top-10 in the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports.

Tyler Ankrum, driving the No. 18 LiUNA! Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, was the only post-season contender that didn’t qualify inside the top-10 and will roll from 15th on Saturday.

Other notables include Stewart Friesen (12th), Layne Riggs (13th), Connor Zilisch (16th), Ben Rhodes (19th), Matt Crafton (22nd), and Jake Garcia (26th).

Tanner Gray and Spencer Boyd failed to post a qualifying lap and will start Saturday’s event from 33rd and 34th.
