Corey Heim and TRICON Garage continue to put together a mind-blowing season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this year.
The Marietta, Georgia-native is parking his No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in Victory Lane for the fifth time this season after a lights-out performance at Lime Rock Park in Saturday’s inaugural LiUNA! 150.
Heim was out in front of the field for 99 of the race’s 100 scheduled laps on Saturday, with the exception being the race’s final restart, where Layne Riggs beat him to the start-finish line.
Riggs was the closest thing that Heim had to a challenger throughout the afternoon, but after claiming the lead for a moment on the final restart, the driver of the No. 34 Ford F-150 slid wide in Turn 1.
That caused a significant amount of calamity behind the race leaders, as several drivers, including Rajah Caruth, Jordan Taylor, Connor Mosack, and Thomas Annunziata, got wide into the first corner and cost themselves a ton of track position with less than 10 laps remaining.

“It’s nothing short of incredible. These road courses, I really look forward to them, you know, pre-event and whatnot, and prepare pretty hard for them, so to see that all pay off with Safelite TRICON Toyota is pretty special,” said Heim. “Can’t complain one bit about that, had a flawless day, and take that and move forward and try to collect some wins we probably should have had this year.”
It’s the 16th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory for Corey Heim, and his 14th with crew chief Scott Zipadelli.
With chaos on the final restart of the race, the running order got scrambled from where it had been throughout the majority of the 100-lap contest.
Defending NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ty Majeski squeaked through to earn himself a runner-up result in the No. 98 Ford F-150, with Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contender Gio Ruggiero sneaking through for third.
ThorSport Racing teammates Ben Rhodes and Cam Waters rounded outside the top five, finishing in fourth and fifth. Chandler Smith tucked in just behind him in sixth place.
In his first of three scheduled starts for Niece Motorsports, Josh Bilicki secured a career-best seventh-place finish in the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado RST. Brent Crews was eighth, with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing teammates Daniel Hemric and Tyler Ankrum rounding out the top-10.
With three races remaining in the regular season, Corey Heim holds a 140-point advantage over Chandler Smith in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series point standings. Now, the series will have nearly a month off before returning to action at Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 25.
