Corey Heim heads into Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series EcoSave 250 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway as the overwhelming favorite to capture the series championship. And now, he’ll attempt to collect a record-breaking 10th win of the season from the pole position as he captured his seventh pole of the year on Friday afternoon at the 2.32-mile makeshift road course built within the confines of the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Starting Lineup: EcoSave 250 at the Roval

Heim, who tied Greg Bifle’s all-time single-season win record with his ninth win a couple of weeks ago at New Hampshire, was elated to unload his truck with a lot of speed on Friday, as the Charlotte Roval has never hosted a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race before this weekend. He says its a testament to how hard he and his team worked heading into this event.

“Our road course package has always been really good here at TRICON with Toyota and Mobil 1. Very grateful for all of the effort put into this place,” Heim said. “It was a little bit of a guessing game with the trucks never having been to the Roval in prior years. I’m glad we could hit that setup on the dot, and all the sim work we did leading up to the event with Toyota really translated well for us.”

Heim turned a fast lap of 85.064 seconds/96.492 mph, which allowed him to top the field by more than two-tenths-of-a-second to claim the top qualifying spot.

Lining up alongside Heim on the initial start of Friday afternoon’s race will be Layne Riggs, Heim’s main competition for the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series championship. Riggs comes into Friday’s race with three victories on the ledger, and he’ll look to upset Heim, who has won two road course events this season.

17-year-old Brent Crews, who is driving a part-time schedule in the No. 1 TRICON Garage Toyota, will start from the third position after turning in a solid qualifying run at the Roval, and he’ll be joined by Playoff contender Grant Enfinger in Row 2.

Kaden Honeycutt, Connor Zilisch, Gio Ruggiero, Corey LaJoie, Ty Majeski, and Josh Bilicki rounded out the top-10 qualifiers for the EcoSave 250 at the Charlotte Roval.

Tyler Ankrum (11th), Rajah Caruth (18th), and Daniel Hemric (34th) are the three Playoff contenders who will start outside the top-10 on Friday. This race marks the first of three races in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series EcoSave 250 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval is set for Friday, October 3, and will be televised on FS1 beginning at 3:30 PM ET. The NASCAR Radio Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will provide the radio broadcast of the event.
