Brad Perez will make his second-ever start on an oval in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in Sunday’s Clean Harbors 175 at The Milwaukee Mile, after spending this season primarily competing on road courses in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The Hollywood, Florida native will get behind the wheel of the No. 30 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for On Point Motorsports in the second event of the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series post-season.

Bonesteel Aerospace, Weiss Sand & Clay, GreenTech Energy, and APEX Roasters, all long-time sponsors of Perez’s efforts in NASCAR’s top-three series, will be supporting the 26-year-old in his fourth Truck Series start.

“I’ve been a big admirer of On Point Motorsports for years, seeing them work with many successful and talented drivers and maintaining a high level of competition,” Perez said in a social media post. “I’m up against a lot of experience but I’m backing with years of experience built into this team and this truck.”

“With that being said, this year has been rough,” Perex continued. “I’ve been tested a lot and this is my biggest test so far, which is about normal for every time I’ve hoped in a race car now, gonna do my best to deliver a performance this team and truck deserves.”

Earlier this season, Perez competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Martinsville Speedway, where he piloted the No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports to a 35th-place result.

This season has also seen an increased schedule for Perez in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, albeit across multiple organizations, making five starts in the second-tier series and scoring a career-best 19th place at Road America for Alpha Prime Racing.

On Point Motorsports, which fields the No. 30 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro on a mostly full-time basis in the NASCAR Truck Series, has hosted numerous drivers this season, including Ryan Vargas, Chris Hacker, Colin Garrett, Tanner Carrick, and Jonathan Shafer.

In 13 starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this season, the entry has recorded three finishes inside the top-15 at Atlanta, Texas, and North Wilkesboro.
