Esperion Therapeutics has partnered with RFK Racing for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, which will include primary sponsorship on both of the organization’s entries.

Esperion Therapeutics, a Michigan-based pharmaceutical company, has partnered with RFK Racing in a team-wide, multi-season agreement, the organization officially announced on Wednesday.

As part of the newfound agreement, Esperion Therapeutics will promote a pair of cholesterol-lowering treatments – NEXLIZET and NEXLETOL – on the team’s two NASCAR Cup Series entries throughout the year, beginning with the Daytona 500.

NEXLIZET will adorn Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 Ford Mustang in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway on February 19, as well as the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro (May 21), and the series’ one stop at Michigan International Speedway (August 6).

NEXLETOL will also gain three races of primary placement onboard an RFK Racing entry in 2023, adorning Chris Buescher’s No. 17 Ford Mustang at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 5, and both events at Martinsville Speedway (April 16 and October 29).

Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Esperion discovers, develops, and commercializes innovative medicines and combinations to lower cholesterol, especially for patients whose needs aren’t being met by current treatment options.

“We’re excited to partner with RFK Racing to increase brand awareness, and this sponsorship provides ample opportunities for community engagement and education to their large and diverse consumer base to advance awareness about the benefits of lowering LDL cholesterol and improving cardiovascular health,” said Sheldon Koenig, Esperion’s President, and CEO.

Brad Keselowski enters his 14th season in the NASCAR Cup Series, and his second season as driver and co-owner of RFK Racing. With 35 victories at NASCAR’s top level, the Rochester Hills, Michigan native is set to make his 500th start in 2023.

Chris Buescher, now in his fourth season back with RFK Racing, will start his eighth season of full-time competition at NASCAR’s top level. The Prosper, Texas native comes off a season where he scored a victory in the Bristol Night Race.

The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season will begin with the Busch Light Clash at the LA Coliseum, with coverage of the Daytona 500 beginning on February 15th with single-car qualifying, followed by Duels on Thursday, and a pair of practices on Friday and Saturday.
