It was a wild day on Wednesday, as Austin Dillon crashed hard early in the session.

Dillon’s team took their No. 3 car back to the shop and repaired it and actually logged more test laps 8.5 hours after the incident occurred. A true testament to how durable these new cars are.
Denny Hamlin was one of three drivers to go for spins in the session. William Byron and Erik Jones experienced flat tires, which sent them for spins.
Thursday’s test will begin at 8AM ET and will run until 5PM ET. NASCAR will allow teams to conduct live pit stop practice from 4PM ET to 5PM ET, so, we’ll get our first look at pit stops with the single lug wheels.
NASCAR will also test out a couple of different spoiler size options than what was used on Wednesday.

Thanks for the write up on day 1. Interesting stuff! Interesting how Dillon and Hamlin had issues. Can’t wait for your coverage today on speeds on the track and if the spoiler change helps! Congrats on almost 1,000 views of your “live” Twitter video yesterday. Great!!
