Riley Herbst – who was running inside the top-ten and looking for the points to try and advance to round two of the playoffs — has hit the inside wall incredibly hard on lap 43 of the Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Herbst was turned by the No. 61 of Austin Hill, who doesn’t run for points in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and was involved in a late-race accident in Saturday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250.

The Las Vegas, Nevada-native’s Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 team has made an attempt to meet minimum speed but looks destined for a poor finish, as his No. 18 Monster Energy Toyota Supra has extensive damage.
