Video: Kyle Weatherman Stumbles on Late-Race Restart, Collects Harrison Burton and Brandon Brown

It was already known that when the caution flag came out inside 20 laps to go in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Credit Karma 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway that things were going to get crazy, with the various strategies spanning the lead lap cars, but I don’t think we expected it this soon.

On the restart, Kyle Weatherman, who restarted from the lead after staying on the track, stumbled from the get go, sending the No. 47 backwards through the field, which resulted in contact with both Harrison Burton and Brandon Brown. Later, Weatherman relayed to his team that the car was stuck in gear, which seemingly caused his AXE Crossbows Chevrolet Camaro to slow dramatically entering turn one.

Brown, Burton and Weatherman were all able to stay on the lead lap, despite the damage to their cars, but would be relegated to a position further back in the pack than anticipated.
