The first yellow flag flew on lap 11 of Sunday’s Pocono Green 225, and Josh Williams was the unfortunate victim.

Heading into turn 1, it appeared that Williams turned down into turn one before Santino Ferrucci planned to, causing the contact.

The contact caused Williams to lose control, and back his car into the outside wall in turn 1.

Ferrucci drove away practically unscathed, however, Williams’ No. 92 Camaro sustaining significant damage, and was able to drive the car back to pit road.

Due to excessive damage, Williams was forced to retire from Sunday’s race. Ferrucci was able to continue following the contact.

The retirement marks the third DNF of the season for Williams.
