Video: Hailie Deegan Crashes After Contact From Poole, Weatherman

Hailie Deegan has had a very rough rookie campaign in the NASCAR Xfinity Series so far this season, and the tough start spilled into Saturday’s DUDE Wipes 250 at Martinsville Speedway.

As Deegan entered Turns 1 and 2 on Lap 36, Deegan received a hit from Brennan Poole, who was behind her in the No. 44 Alpha Prime Racing Chevrolet Camaro. As Deegan went for a spin, Kyle Weatherman also was involved in the crash.

Dawson Cram, who made headlines after his incident with Joey Gase at Richmond, came to a stop without hitting Deegan’s No. 15 AM Racing Ford Mustang.

Deegan who was running just outside the top-20 at the time of the incident now finds herself a lap down after the crash, but she is still logging laps.
