It’s been a career week for Tennesse’s Josh Berry, announcing on Monday that he will move to JR Motorsports full-time in 2022 driving the No. 8 Camaro.

For the second straight day, another piece to Berry’s sponsorship puzzle is in place, with Tire Pros confirming that they will return for nine races next year.

“Tire Pros has been great, they’ve been big supporters of mine, and everything just clicked,” Berry said in a media release. “They were a huge part of me getting the 12-race opportunity this year. It all fit together. They’re a fantastic company that I’m proud to represent, so I am really thankful for them stepping up and making this happen.”

Scoring his first career Xfinity Series win at Martinsville earlier this year, Berry has piloted the Tire Pros colors six times in 2021, including two consecutive second-place finishes at both Darlington and Dover. In addition, Berry led 48 laps at the Monster Mile. The second-place finish at Darlington saw the throwback of Dale Earnhardt Jr’s iconic Budweiser MLB All-Star design from the 2001 Pepsi 400, which received critical acclaim from fans.

Berry’s future in NASCAR has been in question since his win at Martinsville, with Dale Jr. consistently serving as an advocate for the short-track ace not only this year but in years past. However, patience has paid off for the 30-year-old, now preparing to enter full-time competition in NASCAR’s second-highest series.

“This moment is something we’ve been working toward for a long time,” Dale said on Monday. “Josh took full advantage of the opportunity he had this year in the No. 8 car. He went out, raced hard, and earned every bit of this. With all he’s accomplished on a limited schedule, I can’t wait to see what he can do in this series full time.”

Additional partners are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, per JR Motorsports.
