Alpha Prime Racing continues to bolster their driver lineup for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

Ryan Ellis is the latest name that will slide behind the wheel for the team next season, as the team announced on Thursday that the 31-year old is expected to run five races for the organization with Keen Parts / CorvetteParts.net signed on as primary sponsor for multiple races.

Ellis, who hails from California, reiterates that his racing dream would have ended long ago if it wasn’t for his longtime friends and partners Tom and TJ Keen.

“I can’t reiterate enough how appreciative I am of Tom & TJ of CorvetteParts.net giving me a chance to compete with an extremely strong program at APR,” Ellis said. “The Keen’s support of my career means so much to me. We’ve been friends since meeting at GFR and it means so much that they continue to support my dream with their amazing family-owned business.“

For Martins, General Manager of Alpha Prime Racing, it’s time for Ellis to get a shot in fast equipment.

“He doesn’t quit,” Martins said. “He’s a talented racecar driver. He’s just never found a home out here. He’s had to bounce around and just make it work. He’s willing to drive anything, but he’s never been in top-15 level equipment. We want to give him that chance.”

While the team says changes could be made to the final schedule, Ellis is expected to make his first start for Alpha Prime Racing at Martinsville Speedway on April 8th. The team will announce the rest of Ellis’ slate of races at another date.
