Justin Allgaier may not have a race win yet in 2020, but in Stage 2 of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Drydene 200 at Dover, he extended his series lead in Stage Wins. Allgaier held off Stage 1 winner Austin Cindric to capture his eighth Stage Win of 2020.

Allgaier got the lead after battling his JR Motorsports teammate Noah Gragson earlier in the Stage. Gragson would fall back after picking the incorrect lane on a late-Stage restart.

Behind Allgaier and Cindric in Stage 2 was Ross Chastain, who is still searching for his first win of the season.

Gragson finished fourth and Riley Herbst came home fifth in Stage 2.

Harrison Burton, Justin Haley, Brandon Jones, Jeb Burton and Michael Annett rounded out the top-10 finishers.

The only real incident in the race so far came late in Stage 2, when Chase Briscoe lost control while battling Cindric for third. Briscoe spun and slammed into the inside wall with the front of his No. 98 car. However, his team has made repairs and he’s still on track.
