Justin Allgaier Beats Austin Cindric to Sweep Stages 1 and 2 at Bristol, Up to 12 Stage Wins in 2020

It looks like everyone is racing for second in Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway as Justin Allgaier has a leg up on the competition. Allgaier, who came into the race on a two-race win streak, has now swept Stages 1 and 2 in Friday’s race.

This brings Allgaier to a total of 12 Stage Wins in 2020, a NASCAR Xfinity Series-high.

Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe, the other two drivers who have showed dominance in sustained periods were second and third in Stage 2, while Ross Chastain and Noah Gragson finished fourth and fifth.

 

Jeb Burton, Harrison Burton, Riley Herbst, Anthony Alfredo and Ryan Sieg rounded out the top-10 finishers in Stage 2.

An incident between Brandon Jones, Joe Graf Jr. and Michael Annett brought out the second red flag of the evening as fluid was spilled on the track.

Annett was done for the night due to the crash.
