On Friday, Josh Berry secured his first career pole in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, even despite brushing the outside wall with the right-rear exiting turn two.

After Friday’s single-car qualifying session for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Crayon 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, there should be no doubt in anybody’s mind that Josh Berry is always giving it his all.

The JR Motorsports driver was able to secure his maiden pole position in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, posting a lap of 29.952 seconds (127.163mph) in his No. 8 Tire Pros Chevrolet Camaro.

Berry was the final driver scheduled to register a time in Friday’s qualifying session, entering the track in an attempt to knock the series’ defending champion, Daniel Hemric, from the top of the scoring monitor.

Giving it more than his all, Berry’s Chevrolet Camaro broke sideways exiting the second corner, and even brushed the wall with reasonable force. However, the Hendersonville, Tennessee-native kept his foot in it and secured the pole.

Daniel Hemric secured the second-place starting spot for Saturday’s 200-lap contest, meaning he’ll start on the front row alongside Berry. Justin Allgaier, Ty Gibbs, and Landon Cassill rounded out the top five.

Trevor Bayne will start the race from sixth, with AJ Allmendinger, Brandon Jones, Noah Gragson, and William Byron rounding out the top-10.

Julia Landauer – attempting to make her NASCAR Xfinity Series debut for Alpha Prime Racing — earned the 32nd starting position, locking her spot into Saturday’s 200-lap event at the 1.058-mile oval.

Bobby McCarty – driving the No. 47 for Mike Harmon Racing — was the one driver who failed to qualify for the event, posting the 37th-quickest lap time in Friday’s single-car qualifying session.
