Brett Moffitt, the 2018 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion, will get a shot in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in race-winning equipment next month at his hometrack Iowa Speedway. Moffitt will pilot the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing. Destiny Homes, and Concrete Supply, longtime partners of Moffitt, will serve as the primary sponsors for the effort.

It’s a reunion for Moffit, and JGR, which paired together for the 2010 ARCA Menards Series East season, a season where Moffitt recorded two wins on the path to a runner-up finish in the championship battle.

“We’re excited to have Brett come back to JGR to run in Xfinity,” said Steve DeSouza, EVP NASCAR Xfinity Series/Development at JGR. “He has shown great success at Iowa and will have knowledge of the track that will help our entire Xfinity program as the series makes its return to the track.”

Moffitt, who grew up in Grimes, Iowa, which is less than an hour from Iowa Speedway, has had some magical runs at the 0.875-mile track over the years, including two wins in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series ranks.

“I have a lot of great memories of racing at Iowa Speedway, especially the back-to-back wins in the Truck Series,” said Moffitt, the 2018 NCTS Champion. “I’m grateful for Destiny Homes and Concrete Supply supporting me, and I feel really confident that with Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota, we have the opportunity to find the same success in June.”

After 117 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Moffitt is still searching for his first victory in the series, but the Joe Gibbs Racing equipment he will utilize at Iowa Speedway will be the most potent equipment he’s ever had in his tenure in the series. Expect the 13-time NASCAR Truck Series race winner to contend next month.
