After picking up top-five results in his first two NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Carson Kvapil has added another half-dozen races to the docket in the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro.

With sponsorship from Clarience Technologies, the 20-year-old racer will get behind the wheel of the fifth entry for JR Motorsports at a wide range of racetracks, beginning May 11 at Darlington Raceway.

The defending CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour champion will also compete in events at New Hampshire (June 22), Indianapolis (July 20), Michigan (August 17), Darlington (August 31), and Talladega (October 5).

Kvapil’s robust schedule in the No. 88 will allow the up-and-coming driver to get acclimated to the Xfinity Series racecar on various track types, including intermediates (Darlington), speedways (Michigan, Indianapolis), and a superspeedway (Talladega).

With yet another addition to the schedule for the No. 88 Chevrolet in 2024, JR Motorsports confirms it will be running five entries in at least 13 of the remaining 21 events on the NASCAR Xfinity Series calendar.

Kvapil (six races), Connor Zilisch (four races), Connor Mosack (two races), and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (Bristol) make up the planned races for the No. 88, as of the time of publishing.

The No. 88 Chevrolet has contested three of the opening 12 events on the Xfinity Series calendar — Richmond, Martinsville, and Dover — in which drivers Bubba Pollard and Carson Kvapil have scored no finish worse than sixth.

With a runner-up result at Dover Motor Speedway, Kvapil became the 11th driver in the history of the NASCAR Xfinity Series to score top-five results in each of their first two starts, and the first since Ty Gibbs in 2021.

Should Kvapil be successful in earning another top-five result at Darlington, he will become just the fourth driver in series history to earn a top-five finish in each of their first starts, joining Ty Gibbs, David Pearson, and Kurt Busch.
