Mike Wallace had his final appeal of his NASCAR suspension heard and denied by the National Final Appeals Officer on Wednesday, October 7th. Wallace is serving a NASCAR suspension after a behavioral violation of the sanctioning body rule book on September 10th.

Wallace’s final appeal was heard by television executive Roger Werner.

As a result, Wallace remains indefinitely suspended by NASCAR and is required to complete sensitivity training before seeking reinstatement with the sanctioning body.

While NASCAR has not given a specific reasoning for Wallace’s suspension, nor has Wallace, it is widely believed that a social media post from the 61-year old driver that caused the suspension.

Wallace made his case for the first time in front of the National Motorsports Appeals Panel back on September 23rd, and was denied.

After a five-year absence from racing in NASCAR, Wallace returned for three road course races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with JD Motorsports in 2020. Wallace finished 24th, 24th and 25th in his three starts. Overall, Wallace has made a total of 809 starts in the NASCAR National Series ranks and he has scored four NASCAR Xfinity Series wins and he has five victories in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.
