The restarts in Thursday’s Super Start Batteries 400 at Kansas Speedway have been insane, and this one was no exception.

It all began when Joey Logano’s No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang went into the outside wall because of a mechanical issue. Matt DiBenedetto, Austin Dillon & Jimmie Johnson were also collected in a multi-car pileup early in stage three.

This crash also had immense playoff implications, as Johnson and DiBenedetto are involved in the battle for a spot in the playoffs.

All drivers were able to exit the cars under their own power, but Joey Logano and Matt DiBenedetto were unable to continue in Thursday Night’s “Super Start Batteries 400” because the damage on both cars was too significant.
