Josh Bilicki will embark on his fifth year of NASCAR National Series competition driving BJ McLeod Motorsports’ No. 99 entry in the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

The Wisconsin-born driver will also have a new sponsor for this race — DITEC Marine Products.

Bilicki spoke with TobyChristie.com and said that while the sponsorship is currently a one-race deal, that it could blossom into more opportunities down the road.

“We’re going to see how Daytona goes and will decide from there,” Bilicki said. “Our Daytona agreement was that they are a primary here and will be an associate for the remainder of the year. However, with their market so large down here in the south, it’s likely we might do more in this region. So maybe Homestead or Daytona in the summer.”

The 24-year old says that the sponsorship came about as the owner of DITEC has sponsored his racing ventures in the past through one of his other businesses. The gentleman, Bilicki says, felt DITEC would be a perfect fit for the Daytona race.

According to Bilicki, he will run a total of 10 races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season with BJMM. He will run the No. 99 at all of the road course events as well as some ovals in addition to the race at Daytona.

Bilicki’s best finish to date, through 61-career Xfinity Series starts, is a 12th-place finish at Road America in 2017.

Bilicki also says he is slated to run 10 to 15 NASCAR Cup Series races for Rick Ware Racing this season and he will also add in some NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races as well.

This will be the second-consecutive season that Bilicki sees action in all three of NASCAR’s National Series.
